Ginger Sauce

A flavorful dipping sauce to accompany homemade dumplings.

Makes about 1-1/2 cups
Cooking Time: 5 minutes


1 cup white vinegar
2 tablespoons lite soy sauce
1/4 loosely packed cup light brown sugar
1 hot green chile pepper; stemmed and seeded or to taste
1/4 cup finely diced seedless cucumber
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint                                           
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice


Organize your ingredients.

Combine the vinegar, soy sauce, and sugar in a small mixing bowl.  When well-blended, stir in the chile, cucumber, mint, ginger, and lime juice. 

Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion:

This dipping sauce is perfectly paired with a variety of dumplings including Chicken Dumplings.
